The Stephens Remodeling Process

Our 6 step process ensures a smooth project from start to finish

Step #1: Initial Meeting

Please feel free to contact us by using our form fill, or calling our office at 757-220-1646. Once we have briefly discussed your remodeling project, an appointment will be made to meet with you. The initial appointment gives us the opportunity to listen to your ideas, take rough measurements and assess the site. This marks the beginning of discussing your desired remodel, allowing us to offer suggestions that may compliment your ideas.

Step #2: Preliminary Design of Project

When required, a preliminary drawing will be prepared to help with the conceptual concept. A meeting will be scheduled either in person or using a Zoom invite. The customer can then see their remodel project in 3D form, which helps us navigate through the design process. This allows the customer to visually see a new kitchen, bathroom, addition, etc., in a new dimension. This moves us into the next phase of creating a budget for your project.

Step #3: Preliminary Budget

Using all the information that we have collected to this point, Stephens Remodeling creates a preliminary budget. An allowance will be used as a place order for certain items until the final selections can be made. Again, this budget is to see if we are within a price point that you are comfortable with to move to the next step.

Step #4: Planning and Materials

After receiving the preliminary budget, once you are comfortable moving forward, additional appointments will be scheduled to go over every detail of your renovation. During this time, we ask the customer to start their selection process. This will help us create a firm proposal for you job, as well as control change orders and more importantly keep your job on schedule. Once we have all the necessary information we can present you with a firm proposal for your remodel.

Step #5: Construction Begins

Prior to the start of your project, you will meet the Project Manager and Lead Carpenter assigned to your job. You will receive an invitation to join our software communication system called Job Tread. The Project Manager will go over several items to insure we respect and protect your home during renovation. During the remodel project, the Lead Carpenter will verify that you are happy with the progress and craftsmanship being performed. Our intent is to have a zero-punch list at the end of every project. Stephens Remodeling works hard to minimize the disruption of your remodel to you and your family. This is accomplished by good communication with all parties involved.

Step #6: Project Completion

Stephens Remodeling will present you with a finished project worthy of your investment in your home. Near the end of the project your project manager will walk through the remodel with you to make sure you are fully satisfied with the final product. The only thing left is for you to enjoy your new space!
