Planing

Custom home builds start with the plans. We have seasoned drafters and architects who will meet with you to understand your needs and wants. Once that initial meeting is done, our team will go back and start drafting up a proposed footprint. We want to make sure that we get the details right. We will check in and provide several drafts before we are ready to move forward. Whether we are going fully custom or emulating a home, your custom build is yours to customize from the ground up.

Permitting

Permitting can be one of the more complex parts of a custom home build. The reason for this is counties and cities can love red tape, and it is a bit of a heavy lift to get everything approved. However, when you work with us, our team can handle everything. We will work with your local government to ensure everything from water hook-ups to plans are fully approved to allow us to have a seamless build when we break ground.

Site Prep

Depending on your specific build site, we may need to do some work before building. This can include removing trees, prepping access roads, and evening the ground to ensure that our foundation team has a stable site to work

Foundation

After site prep is done, we move on to the foundation work. Foundations are so important as they will ensure your home is in a firm setting to build upon. We do our foundations in two stages, with the footers, walls, and the slab being separate pours. This allows everything to set and settle before we get to the mainline construction.

Roof and exterior

The next step is to build the exterior walls and roof to keep the interior dry. We use our roofing and framing crews for this process and will wrap the home to protect the exterior wall as we finish the roof. No matter if you are looking for metal or traditional asphalt shingles, our roofing team will build out your sub-roof and supports and install the roof ahead of interior construction.

Interior

With the interior dry, our inside teams can get to work building out the rest of the home. We take the time to ensure that all of the plans are followed and the right services are roughed in to make installation a breeze for major rooms such as kitchens, bathrooms, or entertainment areas. Our project managers have years of experience guiding these home builds and will keep you updated on the process.

Finishing

The final step is finishing. This is where our eye for detail comes in, and with our experience and advanced tools, you can see the difference a professional finisher can make. This step will also include exterior work as we will complete the siding, finish any exterior exits, and finish inside with paint, grout, and any other touch-ups we may need.

Inspection and handing over the keys

Last but not least, we will ensure that the home is inspected top to bottom by an independent home inspector. This will allow us to fix any last-minute knicks or issues that may come up during the last bit of finishing and allow you to have peace of mind that your home is in full and working order. Once we are finished, we will hand over the keys and let you start enjoying your dream space.
